It was a true representation of the beautiful game in action. A proper example of how community, exercise and being outdoors can be good for you. I felt great from being on the sidelines and seeing them play. Commissioned by Liverpool Biennial in partnership with Mersey Ferries, Sir Peter Blake designed a piece of dazzle inspired artwork to cover the ferry. My yearly theme for this year is to "keep pushing", and while I've been managing health issues I have pushed myself when I can. Most recently I've been doing multi-cam videoing of live music. I'm curious about queer life here away from the big city of Liverpool. The quieter places. The music, celebrations of Pride and hopefully other things when possible. In February I photographed <a href="https://petecarr.net/blog/danny-beard-at-future-yard/" rel="noreferrer">Danny Beard</a>'s "Dragged across the Mersey" event at Future Yard which featured <a href="https://petecarr.net/blog/glorified-cabaret-at-future-yard/" rel="noreferrer">Glorified Cabaret</a> and <a href="https://petecarr.net/blog/mickey-calisto-at-future-yard/" rel="noreferrer">Mickey Callisto</a>. Loved it. I submitted a series of 10 photos from around the Wirral. They will be up until the end of February in the main cafe space.</p><p>Also at Start-Yard in February is a series of prints celebrating Wirral's connection with New York. There are 3 prints of Birkenhead Park and 3 of Central Park, both in wintertime. I'm really happy with the work. The light this time of year is beautiful and the cold water is fun to dip in. We've been out in hail, thunder and lightning, snow, and all the storms of the season. Safety first, fun second.
